Origin gets new location
Origin: The London Craft Fair will experience some changes this year, including a brand new home.

What was once a two-week fair will now be condensed into one, during the London Design Festival, from September 23rd-29th. It will also move from its Somerset House setting in the centre of the capital to the recently-refurbished Old Spitalfields Market.

Spitalfields continues to attract talented craft and trades every Sunday in the fashionable corner of London's East End.

Organisers of the festival, the Crafts Council, made the changes to provide more space for stalls in the expansive historic market and allow visitors to enjoy all 220 stalls in one visit.

More than 19,000 visitors have come to the fair each year since its inception in 2006, replacing the original Chelsea Crafts Fair as the principal selling event for people with a career in crafts.

Exhibitors come from all over the world to sell ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and furniture, from well-established designers and new talent.
