The launch of new online TV service Seesaw represents a great opportunity for advertisers, it has been claimed.
With channels such as the BBC, Five and Channel 4 on board with the service, providing a new area in which to target potential customers, according to Jamie Estrin, managing director at online marketing firm Web TV Enterprise.
He added: 'Primarily it offers TV advertisers incremental reach to their campaign, which is the key. It delivers advertisers to light TV viewers; the internet is full of users who are not partial to watching a lot of TV.
'If video owners are willing to license their content all over the web like some music owners, then that will decrease the value of their content. For true value it needs to be used exclusively on a reputable website.'
Seesaw offers a variety of classic and new shows for viewers, including Channel 4's the Inbetweeners and the BBC's Doctor Who.
