Art Fund Prize shortlist revealed
The shortlist for the Art Fund Prize have been announced after a judging panel selected 11 museums and galleries to be in with a chance of winning £100,000.

Nominees, which usually consist of ten organisations but this year's high standard resulted in 11, are awarded the prize for exhibiting a project last year that had demonstrated the most 'originality, imagination and excellence'.

Most organisations in the list are projects that cost millions of pounds to build, including the £78 million Darwin Centre at the Natural History Museum (pictured) and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry, which cost £20 million.

Also shortlisted is the Conflicts of Interest at the National Army Museum. Mairead O'Hara, the team leader at the exhibition told the Museums Association: 'We are proud to have produced this important exhibition and happy that our efforts have been recognised.

'The exhibition covers conflicts over the past 40 years and it was important to build in flexibility so that we can update the content.'

Judges will announce the winner on June 30th.
